Vitalik Buterin's push for simpler institutional staking is less about convenience than about who gets to participate in securing Ethereum without hiring a priesthood.
Vitalik Buterin wants institutional staking to be much simpler. He tied that goal to DVT-lite, a lighter distributed validator setup, and argued that Ethereum should stop treating infrastructure participation as a task reserved for specialists.
Every layer of operational complexity creates room for middlemen. Vendors, consultants, and custody wrappers gather around a process that looks more intimidating than it needs to. Ethereum gains some resilience from caution, but excessive friction also concentrates power in the hands of whoever can manage the maze.
