Ethereum Funds Lose $222 Million in a Week
CoinShares said ETH products lost $222 million last week as U.S. bill anxiety and a harsher macro mood pushed investors back out of crypto funds.
Ethereum investment products lost $222 million last week, the biggest withdrawal among the digital-asset funds tracked by CoinShares. Total crypto fund outflows reached $414 million, ending a five-week run of net inflows and pushing Ethereum's year-to-date tally to a $273 million net loss.
CoinShares research head James Butterfill said the retreat was likely tied to the latest Clarity Act draft in Washington. The concern is not just generic crypto regulation. Investors are trying to price what the bill could mean for staked ETH products and for yield-bearing stablecoin programs that sit close to the same policy line. The pressure was concentrated in the United States, which accounted for $445 million in outflows, while Switzerland saw only minor redemptions.
