Dan Finlay Leaves MetaMask's Long Build
The MetaMask co-founder said he is stepping away from Consensys after more than a decade, closing one of the wallet's founding runs as the product shifts into a broader multichain platform.
Dan Finlay is stepping away from Consensys after more than a decade building MetaMask, ending a run that stretched from the wallet's early browser-extension years into its current multichain expansion.
Cointelegraph reported that Finlay described himself as burned out and said he wanted more time with family. Finlay was one of the clearest public faces of MetaMask through several versions of Ethereum's consumer layer, from simple self-custody and browser signing to swaps, mobile, institutional access, smart accounts, and broader chain support.
