BlackRock Staked Ether Fund Hits $254 Million
BlackRock said its new iShares Staked Ethereum Trust reached $254 million in assets in its first week, giving institutions a cleaner way to hold ether and collect staking rewards inside a public-market wrapper.
BlackRock's new staked Ethereum fund cleared $254 million in assets under management in its first week, according to Decrypt. The product, listed on Nasdaq as ETHB, launched on March 12 and has brought in about $146 million of outside money on top of more than $100 million in seed capital.
The pitch is straightforward. Institutions can buy a familiar fund wrapper, get ether exposure, and receive part of the staking yield without setting up validators themselves. BlackRock said the trust stakes between 70% and 95% of its ETH holdings and passes 82% of the rewards to investors through monthly payments.
