Ethereum Papers book chapter
Last Thing
A New York Times article just came out about “The Digitalist Papers,” a collection of essays about Artificial Intelligence and its potential impact on democracy, governments, and other serious topics. I don’t read the article; I listen to it “read by an automated voice.”
I learn Stanford is behind the project. I learn big names, successful people, credible people write and edit the essays. I learn the project is also inspired by the Federalist Papers. And there is a way we can all get along like they do in Taiwan. I’m skeptical. I have a hard time believing that institutions, especially old ones, will rescue us from any of this. Mostly, I have the kind of relationship with authority that has drawn me to a movement started by people who called themselves cypherpunks.
